The game worked fine and picked up the controller with no problems when I launched the game in Rockstar Game Launcher. Now controller gets picked up initially and the game shows PS buttons in the menu but all inputs are ignored and the controller doesn't work. I reinstalled the Rockstar Launcher.
May 15, 2020 · It took me a while to learn them as well since RDR2 published this game for PC M&K but ingame it still uses controller. so if helps ya here's what I learnt. L=Shift on keyboard. X=D. R1=Q. Use Q to take cover. R to block with F. To stop a horse I used either the Alt key or Ctrl cant remember.
Red dead 2 controller wont connect. Ive tried looking it up and have had no luck. I bough RDR2 on rockstar and cant seem to get a controller to work on it. PSA. Just putting this here because I had a devil of a time finding it myself -- horse controls on the PC: Level 2 bonding: Rearing = Ctrl + Space. Level 3 bonding: Skids = Shift + Ctrl, Skid Turns = Shift + Ctrl + A or D. For this one you need to be galloping (i.e. using Shift already), then add Ctrl + whatever other button.
